Homework - Due Friday 31st August

From last week:

A big thank you to the PhD students who created and competed in their Family Olympics.

And a special thanks to all the older brothers and/or sisters, mums and dads, and extended family who got roped in to compete.  I hope it was a somewhat even playing field for all.

Coming up…

1.     New spelling lists – congratulations to all who passed.
2.     We are pleased to report that a good bunch of children achieved an LPB in basic facts.
      3.     Feel free to bring running shoes to change into for cross country fitness.

Last week v this week

1.     Use your events from last week OR create some new ones
2.     Make sure the events have a definite outcome – time, score or winner
3.     Do it to the best of your ability
4.     Create and record results in a well-planned and neatly ruled up table (think about how many columns you’ll need, size etc)
5.     Now create a disadvantage for yourself i.e kneeling, sitting, one eye closed, 4 socks on your hand, balancing on one leg, restricting the movement in a leg etc
6.     EXTRA for EXPERTS – create a different disadvantage for each event
7.     Do it to the best of your ability
8.     Record results in your well-planned and neatly ruled up table
9.     Find the difference in your results
10.  Write a concluding statement about your results
11. Draw a picture or take a photo of you competing

YES, you can create your table on the computer, print and glue it into your book

Olympic multi choice questions   -   next week

Read up on your 60 Olympic multi choice questions / answers.  In teams of 3 you’ll be challenged to see how many you can successfully answer in a 12 minute period.  It will be set up like a running maths challenge.

    1. That's up to you. If family is available and willing - go for it and have another challenge. If family isn't available or willing you're still able to get your homework done. Good question.
